Why an on-site demo
Because the room is the variable
Feedback is a property of a specific building with specific loudspeakers pointed in specific directions at specific microphones. A demonstration recorded somewhere else tells you what happened in that other building.
So we do it in yours, with your microphones, run by the person who runs them every Sunday. We set the bypass to unity first so the comparison is honest, then your operator pushes a fader until the room complains, with the processing out and then in.
Whatever the gap turns out to be, that is your number. In the sanctuaries we have measured it has been about 5 dB, and in a hard corporate meeting room it was 6 dB.

In one mid-sized sanctuary the operator had learned to stop at about 75 percent on the pastor's fader, because past that the room rang. With the processing in he took the same fader to 95 percent and nothing happened. What he said was: that is way louder, and it is not feeding back.
Volunteers stop managing risk
A volunteer running sound on a Sunday morning is mostly trying not to cause a problem. Extra margin turns that job back into mixing, because the consequence of being slightly late on a fader stops being a squeal in front of the congregation.
The EQ can come back
Most systems we see are carrying deep cuts that were put in years ago to stop specific ringing. Once the margin is there, some of those cuts can be relaxed, and the voices get their body back.
Choir microphones get used
Area microphones that were sitting at token level have somewhere to go. That tends to be the change people in the congregation notice, even though nobody in the room could tell you what was done.

Before you book
What does the demo cost?
Nothing. We come out, measure your room, and leave you the number. If you want to keep the system afterward we will quote a rental, and if you do not, that is a normal outcome.
What do you need from us on the day?
Access to your console and its insert points or output patch, somewhere to set a small processor near the rack, and your operator plus at least one person willing to talk into a microphone from the platform. About 90 minutes.
Can you demo during a live service?
We prefer a rehearsal or a sound check. During a service there is no way to push a microphone until it rings, and that test is the whole point. If a rehearsal is not possible we will work around whatever access you have.
What if our problem turns out to be something else?
Then we will tell you. Sometimes the ringing is a microphone sitting in the pattern of a monitor, or a speaker aimed at a hard rear wall, and moving something fixes more than processing would. You will get an honest answer about what we heard.
